FIELD HOCKEY: CIF OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

The #1 seed Scripps Ranch Falcons will take on the #3 seed Torrey Pines Falcons in the CIF Open Championship Game that is set for Saturday November 20th at 4pm. The road to the title has been hard fought by both teams. Torrey Pines has victories against #6 La Jolla (2-0) and #7 Poway (1-0), who got to the Semi-Finals by beating nationally ranked and #2 seed Canyon Hills. Scripps Ranch took down Cathedral Catholic in Quarterfinal action (8-2) and then battled past #5 seed Canyon Crest (2-1) to reach the Finals.

Both programs are playing some of the finest field hockey in the state. Torrey Pines slides in at #4 in California while Scripps Ranch is the Top Ranked team in the State. SR is also ranked #9 in the nation reaching as high as #2 with an overall record of 18-2-1 and the second toughest schedule of Top 10 teams.

This game promises to be a battle for the ages.
