With the new school year underway, San Diego Unified high school athletics are back in action.
All comprehensive high schools in San Diego Unified participate in several California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) sports, providing student athletes the opportunity to represent their school and compete against other City Conference teams, earn scholarships from top colleges and universities, and even play for championship titles.

“As members of the San Diego City Conference, we are excited about representing our schools and San Diego and getting back after it,” said district Athletics Director Scott Giusti. “Our student athletes have worked hard all summer, and we’re now at the point where all of that hard work pays off.”
