Football: Record Night for Hornet RB

8’s the Charm

“R&R” usually stands for “Railroad” but at Lincoln High School it stays for Roderick Robinson II. The Big Train made eight stops in the Endzone on Saturday night.

The #2 ranked Lincoln High Hornets running back tied a San Diego Section record, scoring eight touchdowns in the Hornets’ 56-20 win over #7 ranked Mater Dei.

A 6-foot-1, 228-pound back who has committed to UCLA, Robinson scored on runs of 41, 5, 9, 75, 65, 8, 65 and 8 yards. He tied the record shared by Monte Vista’s Jahmon McClendon, Torrey Pines’ Mac Bingham and Rancho Buena Vista’s Dorian Richardson.

Robinson carried 32 times for 476 yards. (Yards record TBD)
