Point Loma High School senior Andrew Brockstahler passed from the outside to his sophomore brother, A.J., inside for a tie-breaking goal 14 seconds into the fourth quarter of the CIF San Diego Section Division 1 boys water polo final at La Jolla High School’s Coggan Aquatic Complex on Saturday night.
The same brother combination clicked for the next and final goal with 40 seconds left to secure a 10-8 victory over Vista for the Pointers’ championship.
“This is the best thing ever to happen to me at Point Loma.” said Andrew Brockstahler, who had five goals to go with his brotherly assists. “All year, my brother and I’ve been working on that.”
