San Diego High School Retires Jacque Jones’ Baseball Jersey

Jacque Jones, a former Major League Baseball outfielder and San Diego native, had his legacy cemented in his alma mater’s history on Saturday with the official retirement of his jersey number.

“So many people from different walks of life came it to support me this morning. It means the world to me,” Jones told FOX 5/KUSI during the retirement ceremony for the Class of 1993 alumnus of San Diego High School.

“Did not expect this big of turn out,” he continued. “It was amazing, it was heartwarming to know I’m loved by so many people…”
