Southwestern College placed 21st. Noble covered the 3.1-mile course in 19 minutes and 2.7 seconds. She was followed by Oceanside High grad Joelle Tonne (third, 19:03.1); Valley Center High grad Natalie Allen (ninth, 19:34.1); Grossmont High grad Suhey Arce (20th, 20:25.2); Isabelle Moret (22nd, 20:35.1); and Patrick Henry High grad Kate Touchet (23rd, 20:36.5)

• PLNU’s undefeated and 15th-ranked women’s volleyball team (21-0) will play Chaminade Friday at Golden Gym for the regular season PacWest title.

• San Diego State’s women’s soccer season ended with a 3-2 loss to top-seeded Boise State in the semifinals of the Mountain West Tournament on the Aztec Sports Deck. The Aztecs defeated UNLV 3-1 in their first tournament game behind two goals by Kali Trevithick and one by Denise Castro. Trevithick and Grace Goins scored against Boise State. Trinity Coker had three assists in the two games. The Aztecs finish their season at 9-8-4.

• Second-ranked Riverside City College defeated sixth-ranked Mesa College’s football team 62-41 Saturday in Riverside, although the 7-2 Olympians still have a shot at making the state playoffs going into Saturday’s season finale at Palomar College (4-5). Jax Leatherwood (Scripps Ranch High) completed 30 of 49 passes for 286 yards and five touchdowns at Riverside…”
