Dailey sped out to a 6-second lead after a mile, more than doubled it at 2 miles when she had to dodge a pickup truck while crossing the road and then coasted in for the victory in 17:09.2 to win by 22.4 seconds.

“I wanted to break 17 minutes, but once I got the big lead, I didn’t push the last mile,” said Dailey, who improved by 21 seconds over her second place finish a year ago. Earlier this season she clocked a 17:07 at the Clovis Invitational…”
