Sir Autry Carries Cardinals

Sir Autry

“Through nine games, Autry lead the CIF San Diego Section and was seventh in the state with 1,873 rushing yards. Autry averages 9.9 yards per carry. He had scored 24 rushing TDs, two more receiving.

…Autry is asked how it feels to be so close to achieving his football aspirations.

“It kind of feels surreal,” he said.

Autry isn’t big. He goes 5-feet-10, 165 pounds. The word most often used to describe his running style is “elusive.” Jump on the internet, catch some of his highlights and you’ll see a back who leaves a lot of defenders tackling air.

Asked what he likes about being a running back, he said, “I like the fact that you only have to worry about what’s in front of you. I just love the contact. I just like everything about it. I like juking people, breaking through to the second level. I like making big guys miss. I like making big guys look silly.”
